Prestonfield House Hotel Edinburgh

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious boutique hotel. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the city center and close to Holyrood Park. The Rhubarb restaurant, located just off the main entrance hall, offers a magnificent dining experience. The room was beautifully furnished with antique decor, and the bathroom was pristine. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff. The breakfast was a delightful Scottish feast, cooked to order. The views from the room were stunning, overlooking the hotel grounds and golf course.

The menu could use more variety for children's meals.

The complementary items in the room were really good - from the Nespresso machine to the home-baked chocolate chip cookies. The location was peaceful and lovely, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from.

The bed was unusually firm, difficult to get a good night's sleep. This was surprising considering the grade of the hotel.

We had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. They assisted us with reservations and answered all our questions. The hotel itself is beautiful, with plush furnishings and a charming, Alice-in-Wonderland-like decor that transports you to a different century. It is tucked back against green hills, but still within walking distance to the city center. The cleanliness of the hotel and the attention to detail in its presentation were excellent. We also appreciated the hotel facilities, including the fantastic lounges where we enjoyed the extensive drinks list.

Some service staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and there were occasional issues with water temperature and noise from adjacent rooms.

Found an exclusive and luxurious venue with amenities beyond my expectation. From personalized in-room breakfast and Jacuzzi to a well-organized garden area, this hotel devotes great attention to detail. the ambience was historical, and the service at the bar/lounge area surpassed my expectations, making me feel pampered.

I really appreciated this hotel's historical preservation and architectural style. the service in one of the dining halls to receive drinks took longer than expected.
